Prepare and Protect

There are many different types of Athletes that perform at a High-performance level on a daily basis. You have the Military athlete, serving our country. the Fire and Police athlete and of course the Industrial athlete. first rThese Athletes are just as important as the Million dollar Sports athlete!

The EVERYDAY athlete needs to be prepared for the worst-case scenarios situations they must contend with 365 days/24-7. A Strong athlete is a better athlete. But are our First

Responders really prepared? If our heroes are not properly prepared, how can we expect them to protect US? I know of only ONE Police Department in the United States that has a fully qualified, full-time strength and conditioning coach. The United States Army has moved away from science and more toward trends when preparing the military athlete. The most serious oversight is this, Fort Bragg no longer trains the Head and Neck of their special forces operators.     Once again, I know of just one Police Department that diligently trains the head and head of their Officer Athletes.

There are hundreds maybe thousands of cervical spine injuries that require surgery that could be avoided. As the head becomes heavier and heavier the HEAD and Neck Muscles must be prepared for the additional load. Federal, State, and local agencies need to know-how to properly prepare the men and women that serve.

neck injury

Special operators and Pilots have shown the highest prevalence of neck injury. The Department of Defense has conducted many studies but no proactive solutions.  We cannot neglect the very people who serve us by sending them into “harm’s way” UNPREPARED.
